When you add a file or a new program to a new computer, hard disk will be relatively empty so new data on the hard disk is stored in an entire block. If you must use this information, the computer can access quickly, because it all in one place.

Finally, the computer is no longer saving information in large blocks. Instead, it provides information in the many small empty areas of the disk. The result is that a program or file is broken up or fragmented, stored in small pieces and pieces in different areas on the disk. The computer keeps track of the location of every ingenious piece of data and presents them all together when it is needed. But, of course, which lasts for more pieces of information, the longer it will provide information and access the computer slower.
