Google Introduced the Public Data Explorer

Google introduced a public data such as unemployment data, population, wages, crime statistics to the most popular data. Google re-announced new products in Google Labs, which is able of presenting a series of visual data based on critical data from statistical agencies.

Google Public Data Explorer is the development of public features search data that Google made last year, which allows statistically significant results quickly.

“We extend this service to include information from the World Bank, such as population data, for every region in the world,” said Jurgen Schwarzker, a statistician at the Google Public Data Team, through the company’s official blog.

Google Public Data Explorer, says Jurgen, to presenting information in various forms, ranging from a line graph, bar, maps, and charts the balloon, to be more easily understood by the reader.

“Dynamic visualization, which can be seen on the course of time,” explained Jurgen.

Now there are about a dozen statistical data provided by Google. 20 most popular data, including comparative data of school, unemployment, population, sales tax, salaries, crime statistics, health statistics, disease statistics, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), and others.

By holding the World Bank, the U.S. statistical agencies, and the U.S. census bureau, Google claims to have billions in the chart that can be explored.

In the future Google will also cooperate with the OECD, the California Department of Education, Eurostat, the U.S. disease control center, and the U.S. economic analysis firm.

“We will be very pleased if the data providers around the world want to provide their data on the internet for free,” said Jurgen.
